Star Sales is a growing, family business that has been providing tools, fasteners, and supplies to the construction industry on the East coast for over 99 years. We are looking for a Warehouse Manager in our Maryland / DC location. The candidate will be primarily responsible for leading all warehouse operations and personnel to ensure safety, customer satisfaction, and company profitability. Job Description: Responsible for the leadership & management of warehouse operations and staff, overseeing day to day operations and ensuring employee safety. Plans layout of warehouse and storage areas, monitors transactions, participates in equipment decisions, assists in the maintenance of building facilities, and responsible for product security in the warehouse. Oversees routing of trucks and deliveries as well as maintaining driver logs. Maintains and works to improve inventory control from receiving to delivery. Oversees and/or administers forklift training, product picking activities, product mapping, product return, and waste management. Collaborates with the rest of the operations team to improve business processes and efficiencies. Sets the example for a safety-focused work environment to reduce/eliminate work-related accidents and injuries. Qualifications: Valid Driver’s License High School education or equivalent. Team focused leader with experience in warehousing, inventory management, and receiving / distribution processes. Basic computer skills to process orders and bills of lading. Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs.
