BUILT RITE SPECIALTIES: We are seeking an Estimator for a full-time position to join our team! We are a Division 10 Commercial Subcontract Company. The Estimator is responsible for reading architectural drawings, specifications and related documents to create accurate proposals. An understanding of commercial construction is helpful, but not required. This role is highly collaborative and will work closely with Built Rite's internal teams as well as external suppliers, General Contractors, architects and engineers. Responsibilities: • Preparing complete and accurate proposals and take-offs from plans • Communicate with General Contractors to clarify scope of work, materials, and schedule requirements, and documents these clarifications. Prepare RFI's • Soliciting and negotiating prices with suppliers • Prepare estimates in a professional format for distribution to clients • Establish and maintain working relationships with General Contractors • Provide regular updates to the department manager and highlight any concerns with regards to anything that might potentially jeopardize submitting a competitive proposal • Maintain bid lists • Aids field operations with change order pricing if needed • Prepares contractual exhibits for scope of work for subcontracts Requirements: • Intermediate to advanced MS Excel and Outlook Skills • Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail required • Analytical thinker with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively • Ensure that the Estimates produced are of the highest quality, lowest base cost and technically compliant • Strong interpersonal and excellent oral and written communication skills • Basic knowledge of estimating technology and tools such as Procore and bid lead sites
