We are seeking a full-time Police and Emergency Vehicle Technician to join our team. This position will need strong 12 volt electrical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and a strong work ethic. Essential Functions Wiring of lighting and siren systems In-car video solutions Mobile data networks Installation of various vehicle accessories such as partitions, push bumpers, storage boxes, etc. Installation of 2-way radio equipment Basic Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience is desired, but not required Knowledge of vehicle wiring Able to identify electrical circuits Able to communicate well with others Able to work on and see small objects Good hearing and color vision Be prompt and prepared to work Holds current Driver’s license Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Moderate walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. The employee must be able to perform physically demanding tasks that may require accessing confined spaces. Work Environment Work outside and inside, around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery with moving parts. Exposure to dampness and humidity, exhaust fumes, gasoline, and diesel fuel. Position Type/Hour of Work This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM, 40 hours per week.
