Metal dads- I love you, I respect you, but this ain’t it. Looking for people in 20’s and 30’s who are down to earth and fun to hang around. One of my biggest pet peeves is people who overplay. Serve the song m8. I’m a singer songwriter with a bit of guitar chops, a bedroom player. Here’s a list of the covers I’ve learned completely, solos and lyrics. Pink Floyd- Wish you were here Black keys - The lengths + Thickfreakness Radiohead - high and dry George Harrison - my sweet lord Alex G - Bobby Hurray for the riff raff - Outlaw’s lament John Hartford - Tall buildings Devil makes 3 - The plank Scrapper Blackwell - nobody knows you when you’re down White stripes - not that lonely yet Middle brother - blue eyes I’ve also completed about 6 originals. Have more irons in the fire but not ready to be performed. So you can probably tell I have a country/folk bent but I do like loud garage rock type stuff. T.Rex is one of my favorite bands, as well as Ty Segall. Im also influenced by surf and psychedelia. Though I never really play with heavy distortion. Here’s some more bands I’d like to emulate Khruangbin Starcrawler Dinosaur jr. Sonic youth Modest Mouse Love the 90’s riot girl stuff like the Breeders and Hole I also love the neo soul movement happening over the last few years. Wouldn’t mind messing with those sounds. I used to drum a lot and still have my kit if that role can’t be filled. But I really like writing. Feel free to hit me up with any questions.
