DOG TRAINER POSITION: We are looking for someone who is experienced working with dogs, has great people skills, willing to learn new training practices, responsible, reliable and a strong work ethic. It's not just about training the dogs. We train our clients as well, to ensure they will have a well-trained dog for years to come. So it is important that you are good with both. Must have training experience! QUALIFICATIONS Strong work ethics, ability to work independently, communicate well Able to take directions, adaptable ability to further your training education Flexible work schedule Present well in person, and on social media Must be a joyous and positive person The Ideal person is detail oriented Citizen K9 does not expect you to have years of experience as a professional dog trainer but if your experience is with your own private dogs, your training ability should have produced the dog to: be off leash, good recall in distractions, should be able to be around other dogs/ people without re-activity, have a strong command of your dog without devices. This is a must. We would prefer if you're educated with professional trainers. Must pass background checks FOR KENNEL ASSISTANT POSITION Looking for an individual who loves dogs and is eager to work with them on a daily basis to show them the best care and experience for our clients! Candidate must be willing to work with dogs that have a wide variety of behavioral issues and be comfortable primarily with large breeds of dogs. But also dogs with aggression issues. The right candidate will possess the following: -Has worked with dogs or other animals by taking care of them, cleaning up after them, working with them on a regular basis (farm hands, groomer/boarding assistants, etc.) -Hard Working- STRONG WORK ETHIC -Able to take direction well -Patient in any and all situations -Must be willing to do a lot of physical work and cleaning work that comes with dogs, such as: -Put dogs in kennels, take out of kennels, walk up and down hills, pick up after dogs, clean up after dogs, etc. -Personable, able to handle difficult situations with maturity and professionalism -Willing to learn -Flexible schedule, Weekends, Evenings, Holidays are REQUIRED! Willing to work and alternate between morning and evening shift, and weekends, if needed. Must have reliable transportation Salary based on experience
