THE MISSION Safely maximize the production of quality labeled product at Stahlbush Island Farms labeling line. RESPONSIBILITIES Gain full understanding of the labeling line equipment Build a strong crossed trained team that can operate the labeling line. Work with Co-Pack Manager to manage the labeling schedule to maximize productivity. Establish efficiencies to maximize line up time. Perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery and provide feedback to maintenance team when fixes are needed. Maintain correct inventory of canned bright stock. Manage all labeling line employees. Manage all QA procedures to ensure food safety. Responsible for accurate daily production reports. QUALIFICATIONS Production experience. 5 years preferred. Moderate mechanical skills with ability to identify an issue. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not mandatory. Preferred bilingual while being fluent in English. COMPETENCIES Self-starter with a drive to always look for improvement. Ability to manage work force effectively and lead toward high production numbers. Fork lift driver certified or become certified upon hire. Computer skill required for basic Excel, Word, and barcoding system. Willingness to work until job tasks are complete. Work with outside vendors when needed to maintain equipment functionality. Be able to think 2 steps ahead of what the labeling line will need to keep it fully operational. Work as a team and communicate clearly to achieve production goals. Schedule/Shift Monday – Friday. 6am to 2pm is regular shift. 6am to 4pm is seasonal shift to meet customer needs. 3-4 months. Saturday as needed to meet customer needs.
