The function of our Dog Wrangler is to provide a positive, fun, and safe experience for all dogs in our care.
Working among a large group of dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities. A positive and caring attitude with the ability to multitask. If you have zero dog wrangling skills we have experienced Dog Wranglers willing to train. Applicants should be prepared to spend most of a shift on their feet. Be coachable and open to feedback, friendly, welcoming, respectful to other team members and clients. Be eager to learn about dog breeds,dog behavior, and a multitude of personalities.
SOME SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES ARE :
Able to correct dogs for safety and healthy play
Cleaning of the play area
Urgency (able to predict and see it through on your own)
Punctuality, Reliability, and Responsible to take care of our client's pets.
Teamwork required
Ability to closely follow instructions and complete tasks independently.
Ensure safe interaction during play
Remember dog names
Perform temperament test evaluations
Write a conclusion for a temperament test evaluation
Communication skills
Feeding and medications for boarding and daycare dogs
Active supervision in daycare of dog group play
Dog waste pick up
Cleaning list at the end of the day.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Be able to lift up to 40 pounds
Be able to stand on your feet 4-8 hours a day
Repeated bending
HOW TO APPLY:
Wrangler shift hours are Monday - Friday weekends off
7:30 am to 1:30 pm
12 noon to 6 pm
1:00 pm to 6 pm
