The Heart of the City Foundation invites you to participate in our Twenty Miles for Twenty Years walk. The Heart of the City Walk — Twenty Miles for Twenty Years Saturday, October 23, 2021 beginning at 9:00 A.M. Get ready for the 2021 Heart of the City Walk which has benefitted the Heart of the City Foundation since 2009! All Walk donations this year will support the “Neighbors with a Heart Campaign” to complete critical kitchen updates at Broad Street United Methodist Church. This is the Twentieth Anniversary of Manna Café and the Kitchen Renovation Project will help sustain this important community service for another twenty years! Teams of cooks from many local community organizations serve meals every Wednesday night at Manna Café and guests - often as many as 150 - are greeted by friendly faces who call them by name in a welcoming environment. Manna Café serves food, fellowship, and love to those in need in downtown Columbus. The 2021 Heart of the City Walk will take place over time, beginning with registration on September 1st to begin tracking miles October 1st. Teams will accumulate 20 miles after registering and “finish” together on October 23rd with a 5K (3 miles). Walking is good for your heart and Manna Café is good for our community. We hope you will participate this year by Walking and/or making a donation as we accomplish our Neighbors with a Heart Campaign fundraising goal of $250,000. Are you part of a team?
