compensation: $15/hr with some benefits (Hiring is officially through COINY Inc., employment type: part-time possible progress to full time. Personal Assistant / Home Attendant Position Hiring through Concepts of Independence, Inc., a consumer direct medicaid program. Pay starts at $15/hr and some health insurance and benefits are available immediately through CoINY 10 to 15 hours a week available Schedule may be flexible. This position is to assist a 53 year old female design engineer/ artist with chronic fatigue. She is working part time from her home studio and needs assistance to conserve her energy, so she ideally can return to full time design consulting. She is looking to make this a long term working relationship. You would not be needed for any medical procedures. The focus is on maximizing healthy eating, conserving energy for recovery and getting back to work full time. This is a creative, casual and respectful atmosphere. You Must be fully vaccinated with valid card. She has a compromised immune system so a mask will be necessary in close quarters. (Thank you.) Needs will include : light house keeping, food shopping and prep, misc. shopping, light paper work, laundry, accompany for doctor visits, walks with her and dogs, general outings, farmers market trips. Work schedule has some flexibility, yet later mornings to early evening is the norm. Schedule may vary with doctor appointments etc. English language proficiency is a necessity, though it does not need to be your first language. Knowledge of computer use, i.e..google searches, emails, other simple tasks are a big plus. Ideally looking for a healthy minded individual with a similar health consciousness for diet, atmosphere, and general well being. Students are welcomed; the atmosphere, during slow times, is good for studying once tasks are completed. Please, no one that is obsessed with any mobile phone games. Location is four blocks south of Union Square in the Village. The apartment is a walk-up so you must be able to take stairs. Must be dog friendly; there are two small dogs.
