Historical talk about the filming of The Way We Were in Ballston Spa
In the fall of 1972, a production crew took over Front Street to film some scenes for the movie "The Way We Were," which was set in the 1930s. Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand--and some "extras" played by local residents--were here in person for the moviemaking. Learn about this event and the excitement it generated, as well as how it impacted the community. After a talk by local historian David Fiske (author of Ballston Spa History Walkaround), those who like to can walk up to Front Street to see and hear about the two locations that appeared on screen. Event is free and open to the public (tickets not required).
