We are headed back to Historic Delano District for our 9th Annual Amber Waves Beer, Wine & Food Tasting Tour! Unique shops in the Historic Delano District open just for Amber Waves participants. At each location, participants enjoy a tasting tour of a sample of craft beer from LDF, a sip of wine, and a delicious tasting from local restaurants. If that isn't enough, purchase the premium Brewmaster Ticket for access to the new Brewmaster Lounge for additional beer tastings. Everyone will be sure to enjoy the Beer Garden with live music, food, and yes, more beer! Tickets go on sale April 1, 2022. Sponsorship information here. At Starkey, we strive to nurture development and promote independence of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We currently serve more than 500 men, women and children in our community through: • Case Management of over 220 individuals • Employment of 80 individuals with hundreds of local and national businesses • Housing suiting the individual needs through 43 homes and 2 apartment complexes • Community Volunteering over 10,000 hours each year for multiple local agencies • Transportation for all of life’s needs totaling over 220,000 rides annually Starkey has been in the Wichita community since 1930, starting as a school in Hattie Starkey’s home for students with disabilities. We help people with disabilities become independent in the community by teaching life skills that are necessary to thrive.
