BYO spade (pointy-tipped is best) and water shoes or boots! Adults or older teens would be best suited to this project. Grab a shovel and your muck-boots or old sneakers! Meeting at the shoreline by 47 Scout Camp Road to hit the phragmites again - this time, we're "spading" the roots. Not removing material, just cutting/severing the underground/underwater rhizomes.
