Author and speaker Barry Levine will speak about & show photographs of Belleville's Yankee Air Museum for the Grosse Ile Historical Society. The Grosse Ile Historical Society is offering a program that will cover the history of Belleville's Yankee Air Museum, from its 1981 founding through to today and into the future. Guests will learn about the Museum's restoration work, static and flyable aircraft, the Thunder Over Michigan Air Show, and more. The discussion will also include the catastrophic 2004 fire, which destroyed the original facility, and how the Museum was able to recover and move forward. Barry Levine will also note in his presentation how the Museum honors the men and women that are part of U.S. aviation history. Tickets are $7.50 for non-members and $5.00 for members. ($2.50 per ticket will be refunded to members at the event.)
