Description
Our medical device company located in Redwood City, would like to hire an Operations Technician for about 2 months full time (or near full time) to help with a handful of projects we have going on. The bulk of work is to "refresh" a portion of our inventory consisting of handheld electronic devices. You may also help with some engineering testing tasks, working with our R&D Engineering team to perform testing and record output data. Towards the end of the term we will be moving offices and will appreciate help packing and then setting up our small shop in our new space.
As a medical device company, we are looking for someone with strong attention to detail and written communication skills (i.e. keep good records, read and follow detailed instructions).
We are looking for someone to start quite soon if possible and work through about Thanksgiving. This will be a contract role. Rate will be $25-40 / hr depending on experience.

Duties and tasks:
-Refresh and update device inventory including re-packaging, charging, connecting device to computer to update device firmware and calibration
-Record completion information and troubleshooting information e.g. error codes, quantities updated, lot numbers, etc.
-Perform testing on devices using custom software per written and verbal engineering guidance.
-Record experiment output electronically and in lab notebooks

Skills and experience:
-Proficient at using various software on PCs
-Able to read and write English fluently to follow directions and take notes
-Able to carefully handle and organize medical-grade hardware
-Experience working in an assembly / testing role in the past preferred
-Experience working in a quality-driven environment (medical/pharmaceutical, etc) a plus.
