Description
LEVITTOWN, NY — Two seniors from the Levittown School District were recently honored in College Board National Recognition Programs.
Isabelle Saint from Division Avenue High School was named a scholar in the National Hispanic Recognition Program, while Khalil Garrett from General Douglas MacArthur High School was named a scholar in the National African American Recognition Program. Both were recognized for their academic achievements and outstanding performances on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
Each year, these College Board programs celebrate thousands of Hispanic, Latinx, Black and African American students who take the PSAT/NMSQT during their junior year of high school. Although this is not a scholarship award, earning a spot in one of the programs is considered a great academic honor which can help students get accepted into colleges and be considered for prestigious scholarships.
