All applicants must be able to SHOW UP EVERY DAY, ON TIME, READY TO WORK. If you are unable to meet these basic requirements do not apply. Chapman Construction, a custom General Contracting Company, is looking to hire both carpenters and apprentices for projects in Sonoma, Marin, Lake and Napa Counties. These positions are NOT management positions. Projects are primarily residential and include both new construction and remodels. Carpenter Position: Carpenter applicants must have a minimum of 5 YEARS experience in carpentry and home building and are expected to have an understanding of all aspects of residential carpentry. Carpenter’s daily work includes: Concrete forming (foundations, retaining walls and slabs) Pouring of foundations, retaining walls and slabs Framing (under floor to roof) Instillation of doors and windows Siding and trim Finish carpentry Miscellaneous duties as directed Laborer: Laborers are not expected to have any construction experience though it is a plus. Laborers will be expected to listen and follow direction. Laborer’s daily work includes: Excavation (by hand) Clean up/Job site organization Assisting carpenters as directed Miscellaneous duties as directed Applicants must have: Personal transportation to job sites across Sonoma, Marin, Lake and Napa Counties (your own transportation, not being dropped off by friend, wife, girlfriend, etc.). A valid driver’s license. (A clean driving record is a plus for laborer applicants) The ability to listen to and understand direction from superiors and to communicate clearly with superiors and fellow crew members.
