BROCKTON, MA — The Brockton Police Department will be giving out free car seats on Friday, October 1 by appointment only. According to Brockton police, three out of every four car seats in the United States are installed improperly. Friday, October 1, from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Brockton residents who have made appointments can head to Copeland Toyota to get their car seats and learn how to properly install one in their vehicle. Brockton police are organizing this drive to raise car seat and car safety awareness. Qualified families can call to set up an appointment with Brockton Police at 508-897-5208.
