STAMFORD, CT — Residents who still need to submit a claim for damage to residential or business property caused by Hurricane Ida must do so by Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 5 p.m., according to an update from the city. Residents are able to submit a claim through Citizen Services' "Fix-It-Stamford" by completing the Emergency Storm Event form. Those who have already submitted their information by the deadline will be notified by a state or FEMA IA representative, the city said in a news release. "Residents who miss this deadline are able to submit a claim through a FEMA IA representative when they come to the city if a declaration is declared," the city added. Residents are asked not to contact Citizen Services to have damages claims filed into submission to the state after Wednesday, Sept. 22, at 5 p.m. The city noted that a news release containing FEMA representative contact information will be released at a future date
