TOWSON, MD — With potentially heavy rain in the forecast, organizers canceled this week's farmers market.
The market is usually held outside from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursdays along Allegheny Avenue.
"We want to keep our vendors and patrons safe," Towson Farmers' Market organizers said in a statement.
Baltimore County is under a flash flood watch from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.
Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds, a tornado and flooding are possible Thursday, according to a hazardous weather outlook from the National Weather Service.
About 1 to 2 inches of rain may fall Thursday in Towson, based on the forecast.
For those who are looking for another farmers market in the area, the 32nd Street Farmers Market is at East 32nd Street and Barclay in Baltimore Saturday, and the Kenilworth Farmers Market takes place Tuesdays at 800 Kenilworth Drive in Towson.
