WESTFIELD, NJ — Girls' Night Out — an annual women's shopping and dining event with day and nighttime activities in Westfield — returns this Thursday. There will be samples, book signings, selfie stations, drawings, discounts, free B-12 shots (boost energy and immunity), free Jet Peel demos, and more. Daytime events take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and nighttime activities run from 5 to 9 p.m. Last year's event was held virtually as a result of COVID-19, so this will be the first time this event will be held in person since May 9, 2019. Organized and run by the DWC, Girls' Night Out provides women with an opportunity to walk around downtown Westfield visiting local businesses for a day and evening of special shopping events, refreshments, entertainment, gifts, sales & discounts. Over 30 local businesses are participating, allowing attendees to shop early for holiday gifts, enjoy special in-store events and promotions, party with friends and relax with refreshments and entertainment. Shopper parking is free all day and night for this event at on-street meters and parking lots, compliments of the Town of Westfield, although parking restrictions and time limits apply. For more details on the participating businesses and their specials, click: www.westfieldtoday.com The DWC will sponsor random drawings from the Girls' Night Out pre-registration list. Five $50 gift cards will be randomly chosen from a variety of participating Girls' Night Out businesses. A Grand Prize of Five $50 gift cards to participating businesses will also be given out to one winner. Winners will be announced the evening of Girls' Night Out at the Girls' Night Out Information Center on Quimby Street (across from the Salad House). Women can register for Girls' Night Out at www.WestfieldToday.com or click to Register Now. DWC Executive Director Bob Zuckerman said, "we are thrilled to be able to bring back this fun day and evening for our shoppers and diners. Of course, we encourage all of our attendees to wear masks when indoors and take normal COVID-19 precautions." Assistant Executive Director Beth Brenner stated "this is always one of every woman's favorite downtown Westfield activities, and while we'll all be more cautious at this year's event, we still anticipate a great day and evening shared by women from all over our area."
