Crater/Builder – Custom Crating and Titan Case. We are a growing crating company based in Seattle. You would have full time hours with opportunities for overtime. Our schedule is 10-hour days, with 4 working days per week. About Us: Custom Crating was founded in 1972. The Position: We’re looking for a Crater/Builder to help us with our increasing production and orders. The pay range we’re offering is a starting pay of $17-20 an hour, depending on experience. We can train you how to properly use a forklift, but previous experience is a plus. You will primarily be building crates/cases and will be helping pack various items. (We get to see some very interesting things come in our doors. We work with one of a kind items, rare antique, artwork, old motorcycles, popular sport team gear, pieces of history, and even rocket engine parts for space!) It's always something new, custom, and exciting. Requirements: We are happy to train the right employee for the task. More important than previous history with wood working/tools is a motivated person who is willing to learn. With that said – we would want somebody to help in our wooden crate, road case, and plastic crate assembly areas; where attention to detail and problem solving are essential. Experience with saws, rivet guns, drills and screw guns is preferred. The position is part sawyer, part builder, and part packer. Some duties would include cutting wood for crates and boxes, and assembling pallets and crate bottoms. Some heavy lifting and experience with saws is preferred. The ability to lift at least 50lbs is a must. The Location: Custom Crating is based in Seattle WA, in the South Park/ Georgetown area.
