BOWIE, MD — The Bowie Baysox on Sunday advanced to the Double-A Northeast League Championship. The Baltimore Orioles minor league affiliate defeated the Altoona Curve 7-5 in a must-win game, clinching a spot in the finals.
This is Bowie's third time playing for a title in its 28-year franchise history. The Baysox won the Eastern League Championship in 2015.

The 2nd-place Baysox ended the year at 73-47, finishing a half-game behind the 73-46 Rubberducks.
The finals start Tuesday in Bowie and continue with another home game Wednesday. Both match-ups at Prince George's Stadium start at 6:35 p.m. Tickets are available at this link.
