About The Position: We re seeking passionate soccer trainers to join our team and help us advance our innovative programs. This is a part time role with the possibility of hours occurring year-round. This role involves coaching groups of athletes within the methodology and framework of COPA STC’s core programs, continuously learning and developing under the mentorship of senior coaches and staff and providing fun and safe experiences for youth ages 4 – 18. We encourage all applicants, regardless of level of coaching experience. This position is ideal for high school juniors and seniors as well as college age individuals looking for on-call, part-time, seasonal hours. Based on experience level, skill set, and motivation, COPA STC Parties & Camp Staff may lead small group training within the following programs: COPA Camps – Camps range from NCAA College Training Camps down to ages 4-8.COPA Parties – Birthday parties and end of the year team celebrations ages 4-18.Responsibilities: 1. Lead and deliver programming and curriculum to youth athletes. 2. Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging technology fueled environment for athletes to thrive. 3. Participate in staff development and outreach events. Must Haves: Patient, energetic, inspirational, and dependable. Must be able to teach youth athletes in a fun and engaging manner.A desire to serve and develop youth athletes to their potential.A positive disposition in dealing with customers and fellow employees.A growth mindset that contributes to your own personal development.Experience working with youths (minimum 6 months).Must be comfortable working independently or as a team with other staff.Must be at least 15 years old with basic computer proficiency skills.Must be available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.Must be able to complete and pass a required background screening.Must take pride in maintaining the high standards of our elite facility.Must be willing to hold themselves to the highest level of professionalism and customer service including but not limited to appearance, communication, and behavior.Must be able to learn and become comfortable with our new technology, operating software, and hardware which will be integral to our facility.A friendly, outgoing personality with the ability to relate well to kids and adults.Excellent time management, leadership, and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills.A dependable team player who can collaborate with others. A positive disposition in dealing with customers and fellow employees.Desirable Qualities: Willing to learn and grow from experiences.Proven time management and organizational skills – “Fail to prepare, prepare to fail”.Solution orientated in difficult situations – particularly related to customer issues.CPR/First Aid CertifiedRequirements: At least 6 months of experience working with children (coaching, babysitting, summer camp staff, etc.).A natural problem-solving mindset and can-do attitude.Weekend hours required for Parties Staff and/or Weekday hours required for Camp Staff.Dependable mode of transportation. Ability to dependably arrive on time at our Walnut Creek facility is a must.Comfortable with technology and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office applications).Physical effort and exertion required for this role. May include but not limited to all exercise and sports-related movements, maintenance of equipment, lifting weights up to 45 pounds, and prolonged walking and standing.
