JERSEY CITY, NJ — On Oct. 1, the new span of the Wittpenn Bridge is set to open after years of anticipation. The bridge cost almost $500 million to build and connects Jersey City and Kearny. It is named after the former Jersey City Mayor H. Otto Wittpenn.
