NOW HIRING: Swim Instructor (part-time) NOTE: certification not required to apply JOB SUMMARY: The Swim Instructor is a responsible, energetic, and knowledgeable person who will lead students aged 6 months and older through water activities with the objective of performing and achieving swimming levels and abilities. This position is also responsible for building confidence in the water by teaching water safety, survival skills, and foundational swimming concepts, while providing a fun and safe experience. LOCATION: Tinley Fitness Center, 8125 W. 171st St, Tinley Park QUALIFICATIONS: The qualified candidate will have completed 2 years of high school. No lifeguard experience is needed. The Park District will certify all instructors by working under the Starfish Aquatics Institute & Starfish Swim School. Current CPR certification or the ability to gain CPR certification is required. INCENTIVES: This is a part-time, evening position with flexibility ranging from 5-10 hours per week. Pay rate begins at $11.25 per hour ($12.25 for private lessons) and qualifies for a complementary membership to the Fitness Center, Recreation Center, Water Park and Dog Park.
