Description
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with a strong knowledge of payroll functions to work at our headquarters in Long Valley, NJ. The position will have responsibility for bi-weekly/weekly payrolls for both hourly and salaried employees. (600 U.S. based employees and 120 in Canada). RESPOSIBILITIES: Process bi-weekly and weekly payrolls in ADP Workforce Now. Accurately set up and maintain all personnel files in database Process all salary and personnel changes, new hires and terminations Process garnishments and all other payroll deductions Assist with year-end payroll close and review of W-2s Produce miscellaneous ad-hoc reports using ADP and excel. Coordinate with finance associates on Tax and other Payroll related inquires Develop benefits information and statistical and census data for actuaries, insurance carriers and management. Handle benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution. Supervise maintenance of enrollment and claims records for all benefits plans Assure company compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act and the Affordable Care Act. Supervise preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies Perform other related duties as directed by Management REQUIREMENTS: BS Degree with a major in Accounting 5 years of payroll processing experience using ADP’s Workforce Now a must CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) preferred. Working knowledge of labor laws, payroll processing, tax principles, and wage & hour laws. Experience working in both corporate and manufacturing environments Knowledge of Payroll best practices, standard concepts, policies and procedures. Experience with basic pay practices for multiple states. Responsible for working with benefits broker and carriers, as deemed appropriate, to administer benefits including managing open enrollment, employee communications, and facilitating plan design changes. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must. Strong organizational and analytical skills Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to work independently Exceptional attention to detail Ability to develop proficiency in additional software (Epicor) as required Maintain high standards of integrity Display excellence in customer service
