House Fire Doused In La Quinta

LA QUINTA, CA — A Wednesday morning residential fire in La Quinta was quickly contained with no injuries reported. The blaze in the 57000 block of Peninsula Lane was called in around 8:16 a.m., according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. When firefighters arrived on scene, they found light smoke coming from the garage of a single-family home, the agency said. Crews were able to quickly contain the fire but were expected to remain at the residence for two hours. There was no word on what sparked the blaze.
