NEWTOWN, PA — Council Rock boasts one of the top 40 high schools in Pennsylvania, according to a new ranking. Data analysis company Niche recently released its eighth annual list of the best high schools in the country, as well as a statewide ranking of schools in the Keystone State. Council Rock North was ranked No. 36 in the state, while Council Rock South came in at No. 52, the ranking shows. Winning $1M Lottery Ticket Sold At Bucks Co. Business Pittsburgh-based Niche specializes in analyzing and ranking top schools and communities. Traditional rankings rely almost exclusively on metrics like test scores and academic performance, but Niche's rankings combine user input — ratings from current students, alumni, and parents — with data from sources like the U.S. Department of Education to evaluate teachers, resources and facilities, extracurricular activity opportunities, and more. Niche gives each school an overall letter grade based on academics, teachers, clubs and activities, diversity, college preparation and health and safety. Each received hundreds of glowing reviews from students and alumni. Niche gave Council Rock North an A+ for teachers; an A for academics, college prep, and health and safety; a B+ for clubs and activities; and a C+ for diversity. Council Rock South earned an A for academics, teachers, clubs and activities, and health and safety; an A- for college prep; and a C+ for diversity.
