Contractors building commercial projects in Medford have high-waged jobs waiting for Union Carpenter Apprentices. To help these Southern Oregon employers hire new Apprentices, the Union Carpenters training center is bringing their Carpenter Trade Preparation program to Medford. Carpenter Trade Prep (CTP) is a free, three-week Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program registered with the state of Oregon. Carpenter Trade Prep in Medford starts October 18th. The class meets 7am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday, from Oct 18 through November 5. The class includes both online learning and hands-on, in-person training. Books, tools and PPE provided. Must be 18 or older. Childcare and other support is available for pre-apprentices - your success is our goal. CTP was developed to prepare women and others underrepresented in the construction industry to earn their spot in a Registered Apprenticeship, to start earning and learning. Successful completion of this program is a big step towards your new career as a Union Carpenter, earning a living wage with health benefits for your whole family. Union Carpenter Apprentices start at about $26 per hour plus benefits for the whole family and structured raises every 6 months. Ready to Apply?
