JOB SUMMARY This position performs labor and production work with corrugated material. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Measure, cut and/or assemble the material to produce boxes Ensure proper abatement techniques according to regulations Shape materials to prescribed measurement using assigned equipment Give input to warehouse supervisor on status of warehouse workers on any performance issues, including productivity, attendance, safety, or quality as noted May be required to operate production machines in the warehouse Requires maneuvering up to 100 pounds of material Perform other duties as required or assigned by Plant Manager or Supervisor BASIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Good math skills Timely and regular attendance Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in a warehouse/production environment. This role routinely uses labor and production equipment, such as tape measures, box cutters. This role will occasionally operate production machines, such as Die Cutters, Flexo-Machine, Jumbo Flexo-Machine, Slitter and Stitcher. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here of representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and talk or hear; Prolonged standing and repetitive motion, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling. The employee is constantly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Occasional swing-shifts throughout the year and as business needs dictate.
