One commonality of despots everywhere is that they are willing to lie to and take advantage of rubes to do their dirty work.
Fortunately for the GOP, their rubes are not only more gullible than average but are happy to shoot their own kneecaps off in service to their masters. It's that perfect combination of cultish stupidity that Trump's team as well as the GOP relies on.
It was obvious before, and now proven without a doubt, that Trump's team and the GOP machine knew that the lies about election fraud WERE lies. All one had to look at were the "claims" and how lacking in actual evidence they were: Wild and unsupported allegation is NOT evidence as attested to by several federal and state judges who heard their lawsuits.
But that won't stop the rubes. They'll battle for those obvious lies to the end of days in support of their graven idol Trump. If they cared about a politician's honesty in the first place, they would never have been able to support either Trump or any other GOP politician.
