Responsibilities Maintain close communications with management in all purchasing related task. Oversees required purchasing processes (orders, requisitions, bid, services, receiving, warehouse, etc.) to support daily operations. Manage inventory control procedures for the warehouse and F&B outlets. Create inventory management reporting to assist with operations. Support the team with proper receiving, storing, and distribution of packages and goods. Assist with processing/receiving Purchase Order documents in Birchstreet System. Maintain Birchstreet order guides and update product descriptions, input inventory counts, and maintain pars. Maintain purchasing information, files, and records (RFQ, PO’s Vendor Files, etc.) for the purpose of compliance with established policies and guidelines by Omni Hotels. Adhere to operations procedures and local health department regulation. Report any discrepancies on requisitions, receiving, quality, and inventory. Counsel and make, as needed, assessment of present and/or new associate job performance. Work daily with Accounts Payable to ensure Birchstreet is accurate and up to date. Maintain organization and cleanliness in all work areas. Perform other duties in the department under the guidance of the Director of Purchasing. Assume responsibility of Director of Purchasing on his absence. Qualifications Must be flexible and able to work am and pm shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must know Food & Beverage. Must have a strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment. Must be able to handle repeated lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds. Must be able to make decisions and process good judgement. Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns raised by guests and colleagues. Must be able to understand financial information, data, and basic arithmetic functions. Must remain professional in all situations. Stand or walk for an extended period in an outdoor/indoor environment. Must be able to operate hand truck, pallet jack, golf cart, and delivery van. Forklift Certification and experience is a plus. Knowledge of logistics: FedEx, UPS, and other shipping company. Computer savvy, Microsoft office knowledge.
