Our Company is located a short distance from New York City, in Paterson, New Jersey, specializing in high-end metal work of museum quality for clients of the world’s most distinguished architects and interior designers. Well renowned for all type of staircases, railings, blacksmithing and monumental projects with a branch specifically for bronze windows and doors. To reinforce the team we are hiring a qualified metal worker / fabricator. Our goal is to train people to work in the team as an assistant until becoming autonomous on High ends Fine Architectural Metal work. Type of projects and materials may vary often and will require some adaptation and learning skills. Several profiles are wanted, please, do not hesitate to reach out to us! Requirements: - EXPERIENCE in metalwork - blueprint understanding - Welding skill (TIG - MIG - ARC ) - EXPERIENCE in metal finish - Have knowledge in general construction like carpentry, masonry - Be able to work in a team environment, under supervision of a shop foreman - Have a valid Driving License - Speak and write English - communicate with the management on job site if requested - OSHA 30/40 certified is a plus - Candidate must have his work authorization Physical Requirements - Ability to lift 50 pounds - Must possess adequate sight, hearing and use of limbs for all aspects of job. - Able to work for periods of time while kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing steps as well as the ability to work from height. - Ability to communicate both verbally as well as through written communication.
