We have an immediate opening for an experienced industrial spray painter. Must be experienced with two part thick film paints like epoxies and urethanes and be able to use conventional spray equipment.
Primary duties include setting up parts in paint spray areas, masking areas not to be painted, performing some surface prep prior to painting, applying paint using conventional or air-assisted airless equipment to, performing quality checks of painted parts, packing finished parts for shipment, maintaining your equipment and work area, and assisting others in the department. A typical work day is fast paced and highly variable. This is NOT an assembly line, do the same thing all day every day position. You will move around the shop a lot and you will work hard. Other duties will be assigned by the manager on an as needed basis.
Normal shift is Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM but overtime is common and sometimes last minute. The fact of the matter is that a painter's day is done when the job is complete regardless of the time on the clock. Current pace is 40-45 hours per week but be prepared to work 50+ as work levels fluctuate.
