This is hard. I need to find my dog a better home. He's 10 years old and I've had him since he was 11 weeks old. Ive tried everything possible to keep him but it's just not possible. My oldest is allergic to him and we've invested in air purifiers, consistently had our air vents professionally cleaned, brushed him nonstop and it's not working. We've even went as far as shaving him (yes I know you're not suppose to) to see if it would work and it doesn't. My daughter itches herself until she bleeds and I just can't watch her do it anymore. About him: He's a great dog. He listens very well. He's great around kids but I would prefer him to go to a home with no small children. My girls have never bothered him so I'm not sure how he'd do with kids crawling on him. He's great with cats. He's house and crate trained. He is super loving and affectionate. He will cling to one person in the house and literally follow that person everywhere they go. He only barks when someone comes to the door but stops when told to. He is timid of strangers, especially men but warms up after he is petted by them. Your trash can will have to have a child lock on it or he will get in to it every time you're gone (I don't miss those days). He doesn't chew anything. He likes to sleep under beds. He is leash trained. He sheds A LOT. So be prepared to either vacuum or brush him daily. He's in good health and likes to run around the yard with you (or after you). Doesn't play fetch or swim. He is neutered and microchipped. He is not UTD on shots at the moment.
