Description

This Workshop will provide a working understanding of planning and conducting evaluations for sponsored projects in the healthcare setting. Most grant making agencies want proposals to include a plan for evaluating the programs they fund. A good evaluation plan can make all the difference in determining whether or not a program receives funding. In the UP, it often falls to program staff and managers to formulate evaluation plans, collect evaluation data, and/or provide analysis to stakeholders. In this workshop, participants will learn, not only the basics of how to formulate and conduct evaluations for the purposes of getting grants and managing grant-funded programs, but also how to use evaluation findings to improve their programs for their patients. Whether you are a health focused non-profit organization working with clinical partners or a health care provider organization, this "lunch and learn" style workshop will give you the tools to get more grant funding for your programs and to use evaluation to make your programs the best they can be for the people you serve. Please join us for this free workshop. We'll take a break halfway through for a complimentary lunch. This event is made possible through funding consideration provided by the Michigan Health Endowment Fund - Community Health Impact grant program. All that we ask is that you take the time to view this 30-minute introductory video filmed by your presenters, Liz Gordillo (Founder and Principal Consultant of Liz G. Consulting) and Andy Chosa (Grant Administrator of Upper Peninsula Health Care Solutions, Inc.) to provide you with some baseline information upon which they will build during the workshop. https://youtu.be/EANh7l2tsWY?t=2 Be aware, that there will be two additional presentations of this workshop in other communities in the UP: October 18, 2021 | 11AM – 2:30PM | at the Ojibwa Casino-Baraga October 22, 2021 |11AM - 2:30PM | at the Kewadin Casino Sault Ste.
