Spouse ALL AGES Spouse ALL AGES SPOUSE at Sun Tiki SPOUSE is a band led by lead singer and guitarist José Ayerve and drummer J.J. O’Connell. The band formed in 1995 and has seen a revolving line-up throughout their decades-long career. To date, their catalog features six full-length albums, several EPs, singles, compilation tracks, and live recordings. SPOUSE returned to action in 2018, with their maxi-EP Sell the Silver, following a seven-year hiatus that saw Ayerve relocate to Quito, Ecuador. 2021 has seen the band’s productivity gaining momentum. On March 1st, they released Emergency!, a callback to the band’s early style of experimental indie rock, created within the month of February as part of the RPM Challenge with long-time SPOUSE collaborators Liz Bustamante and Ken Maiuri. And, if one full-length wasn’t enough, the band—currently performing as a trio with co-writer and bassist Marc Seedorf—has been completing work on a long-awaited rock album, Feel Good Everywhere, which they began writing and recording in 2020, and which also features guitarist Peyton Pinkerton. This marks the band's seventh full-length release. They’ll be returning to Portland, Maine on October 10th for a headlining show at Sun Tiki Studios, taking a quick break from their Northeast tour in support of their good friend and occasional collaborator, Erin McKeown.
