Palestine Through The Senses
We as Palestinians derive our identity from rituals, and rituals come from the land. As displaced visitors on this unceded land, we engage with the cycles of growing, harvesting, preserving, cultivating our traditions of growing and making with the utmost gratitude. Our native plants teach us about the flavors of our ancestors, how they learned to taste the land and create the cultural practices and nourishment that connect us to our culture in Palestine and in the diaspora. By preserving this knowledge, we care for the land and ourselves.
