Gearhouse Open House: Friends, trip ideas, and yard games with a community of outdoor adventurers. We're stoked to host another open house based on what we learned at the grand opening! We'll be running a similar free-form style open house where you can mix and mingle but this time we'll also feature an optional backpacking Q&A session for everyone in attendance. Summer may feel like it's over but this is the best time to go to a bug-free destination all without the sweat of summer and an all-you-can-eat blueberry overloading buffet (picture below). Come and kick it in our new space located in South Lake Union and meet other outdoorsy folks! Play with our gear, look at our maps, play yard games, make new friends, and learn about Gearhouse's custom trip planning resources. Our members adventure more because Gearhouse: - Saves you time with custom planned trips. - Hosts events where you’ll meet your next outdoorsy pals. - Gives you ideas on where to go next. - Provides trip-specific gear anytime you need it for as long as you need it. - Teaches new skills with member-led classes. - Provides you the space and tools needed to store and maintain your gear: Think sleeping bag-friendly washing machines, ski waxing benches, bike maintenance tools, and more.
