Developing Phenomenal Humans: Arts Skills and Integration for 2-3 Classroom | Professional Development for Davis School District Educators Weber State University, with the generous support and funding from Art Works for Kids, has partnered with Davis School District to provide a robust arts professional development series for classroom teachers. This workshop series centers around the skills needed to facilitate Davis School District arts foundational skills in music and visual art. Attendees for these workshops will learn techniques for teaching visual art and music standards, as well as art integration techniques. Teachers will leave with the skills to implement district art standards into their classroom as well as video resources, supporting materials, and district initiatives to support implementation. Relicensure hours are available for licensed educators.Light snacks will be provided. Parking is free and available in the parking lot located on the north and east side of the buildingWhere: Davis School District North Training Building (130 N. Main, Farmington, UT) When: Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 pm (sign in from 3:30-4:00 pm) Presenter: Erinne Roundy (visual art) & TBD (music) The WSU Arts Learning Collaborative is a joint initiative between the Lindquist College of Arts and Humanities and Moyes College of Education that offers year-round professional learning opportunities in arts integration for K-12 teachers, instructional coaches, arts specialists, and WSU students. The Collaborative hosts an annual Arts Integration Conference and supports the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program–a statewide K-6 arts integration program.
