Ready for a hike?
We're hitting the trails of Cedar Hill State Park for a sunset hike and a meditative session led by Chicana in Nature!
Here are some Chicana In Nature Pro Tips for what to expect, bring, wear, etc.:
- Wear comfortable shoes to walk in and expect to get dirty.
- Bring a positive/open mind.
- Wear comfortable breathable clothes. Make sure you check the weather for a heat advisory. September is still warm in Texas.
- Bring a full water bottle and portable snacks.
- Carry a backpack.
- Bring bug spray and sunscreen.
- Please tap into your inner child because you should be curious about the things we’ll see.
- Note: we will be stopping frequently to observe nature; the potential max mileage for our hike will be 2.5 miles. Our hike is about connecting to nature and not the miles we can get in.
- Please bring a towel or yoga mat for our sensory map we’ll do on the trail; it’s taking a moment for mindfulness in the woods.
Additional details will be provided after you register.
**Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Oak Cliff Veggie Project**
