Description

This Community Access Fair is being held to assist Indianapolis residents in their efforts to overcome systemic barriers and gain resources. Mark your calendars and prepare to join us for this momentous occasion! Open to the Indianapolis community, on October 9th from 10 am to 1 pm, the National Center for Racial Equity & Inclusion at Martin University is hosting its inaugural Access Fair, an event created to assist residents of 46218 and the Greater Indianapolis community in overcoming systemic barriers and establishing equitable opportunities. This event is being created to establish partnerships, disrupt systemic barriers, and connect the community to companies, organizations, and allies that are entrenched in work that combats systemic issues. Traditionally, Black and other minority communities have struggled with access to the traditional systems on the quality of life spectrum, which are: education, civic engagement (voting, law, safety, volunteering/mentoring), banking, housing, religion, criminal justice, public health, environment, business, technology, employment, and government, and we believe EVERYONE has a right to equitable opportunity. We look forward to promoting expungement services, educational attainment, banking opportunities, housing experience assistance, civic engagement, advancing Black-owned business, hosting community conversations, in addition to promoting public health options. #NCREI #NCREIImpact #DEI For information, please visit www.ncrei.martin.edu
