Description

Join Latino Outdoors ABQ and Bosque Ecosystem Monitoring Program for a fun morning Birding in the Bosque with some added nature journaling! In celebration of Outdoor Learning Week in NM, spend some time with the fabulous folks from LO ABQ and BEMP for a relaxing morning in the bosque while looking for fall birds (and more!) and nature journaling. Why nature journaling? It's a great way to be present, slow down, make observations, and can be a form of meditation. Nature journaling allows us to make observations around us, which can give us information on the health of the bosque, what we can do to help it (and us), and much more! We will have journals and colored pencils available! When: Oct 2nd 2021 @ 8:30 am -10:30 am Where: Tingley Beach (1800 Tingley Drive SW, Albuquerque, NM 87104) What to bring: Layers! It'll be cold in the morning, but will likely warm up About LO’s COVID-19 Guidelines After careful consideration and consultation with LO leaders about the resumption of in-person outings, we have implemented the following measures to allow us to safely gather in person while minimizing the risk of community spread: New policies and procedures: Masks are required for all non-vaccinated participates, except when eating or drinking, which must be done while maintaining social distance.
