Description
Learn how the Gospel speaks to our true identity, changes our motivation, and sends the Church out to live a lifestyle of discipleship. Our workshop sessions will give you Gospel foundations and practical tools to equip your people for making disciples of Jesus in community with their family and friends. You'll be given ample time to process what you learn and get all of your questions answered. Birthright – Living out of our Gospel Identity – Drawing on stories from his own journey and life in community, Caesar will help us look realistically at the identity we have been given in Christ and how it reshapes everything about us. Set free from performance-driven spirituality and guilt, you will draw closer to God, allowing him to radically change the well-worn rhythms and patterns of your everyday life and transform your relationships from the inside out. Making Disciples in Everyday Rhythms – Discipleship is the only mission that Jesus gave his Church, and therefore must be lived out in normal everyday life... It is not an add-on to our life or a series of classes we attend. Discipleship is always happening and God has already given you and everyone you know natural rhythms in life that are perfectly suited for discipleship! Becoming a Family on Mission – Caesar and his wife Tina will share best practices and tools, along with stories of success (and failure), to get you started and heading in the right direction. This will be a practical "starting with the basics" session (or “re-booting” if need be) that begins right where you’re at and helps you plan next steps toward living as a family on mission. From Acquaintance to Disciple – You’ll learn how to find the people (believers and not-yets) who will make up or add to your missional community and become new disciples in your life. And how the right people already WANT to be with you! The Story of God – We are living in a time and culture that is increasingly choosing to form and shape their worldview and beliefs about God through oral means; relationships, experience, and stories are the distribution channels of belief in our postmodern society. We’ll explain why storytelling is so important in communicating the Gospel and making disciples in the time in which we live. During this interactive experience, you'll hear and participate in the first narrative from the Story-formed Way (10-week discipleship set of stories) and be led in a dialogue that will shape your understanding of who God is, who we were created to be, and why we exist in this world today.
