"Let Me Be Myself" is sponsored in North America by the Anne Frank Center USA and was developed by the Anne Frank House.
This new exhibit brings the lessons of the Holocaust to the present.
The exhibit teaches the effects of intolerance, discrimination, and racism through 30 large picture panels plus a 30-minute DVD. Features include
• The life story of Anne Frank from her childhood to her death;
• Images and texts about the world around Anne Frank – the rise of Hitler, the persecution of the Jews, and the Second World War;
• A scale model of the Frank’s hiding place called “the Secret Annex”;
• A replica of Anne Frank’s diary;
• The stories of 6 contemporary youths from various backgrounds with diverse identities and disabilities that depict how they have dealt with prejudice, discrimination, and exclusion.
This exhibit is suitable for middle school, high school and adult. Docent led tours can be scheduled (free ticket registration required). All docents have been vaccinated. We recommend allowing 2 hours to view the complete exhibit as often students will have questions.
