That’s right, nearly anywhere and everywhere that fruit grows, there is sure to be a still nearby, ready to turn its fermented byproducts into eau-de-vie (water of life). In this course, attendees will learn about the history behind brandy’s creation, today’s predominant styles of brandy, and will taste through a flight of ten unique styles of Fruit Spirits, while learning about their place of origin, production methods, flavor profiles, and how the category has evolved over the last nine centuries. In addition to learning about each spirit, attendees will receive instruction on the fundamentals of tasting in order to understand and appreciate their nuances, their trademark qualities, and what to look for in Brandies of superior quality.
