Gregg Drilling is hosting a 4-hour training seminar for geotechnical and environmental field staff and technicians. Training will include: Coffee & light breakfastRotation through four, 1-hr instructional stationsHands-on demonstration of field techniques with various equipmentInstruction by industry experts: Dr. Peter Robertson (CPT) & Dr. Richard Laton (Soil sampling & logging)Catered lunch before you go!Hearing & eye protection provided. Please bring a hard-hat (extras will be available)Topics covered include: Cone Penetration Testing, seismic & additional modules. Instructor: Dr. Peter Robertson.Auger & rotary drilling, logging a borehole, sampling. Instructor: Dr. Richard LatonSonic drilling & additional testing (vane shear, pressuremeter, SPT energy calibration). Instructors: Ryan Lea & Wessam ZanatyRemediation techniques. The morning instructional seminar is designed to aid field staff in familiarizing themselves with various site investigation techniques. They will learn how each piece of equipment is used in specific situations or soil conditions. Problem solving techniques and on-site decision making will also be discussed.
