Salinas High School Class of 1971 50-Year Reunion! It's finally going to happen, after a year of starts & stops! We will celebrate at the outdoor patio of Portobello's in Oldtown with a low-key casual gathering. We will have appetizers, dinner, sweet treats, music and dancing - but most importantly we will have time to re-connect. After a year and a half of living in our bubbles, it's time to re-charge! Please know that Monterey County is one of the TOP counties in the whole country for high vaccination rates and low transmission rates, and this is an outdoor event. We will be on the honor system at the event - we do have classmates who are immune-compromised or have other health issues, so we politely ask out of care for your fellow classmates and their unvaccinated grandchildren that if you are not vaccinated, please wear a mask. George and Connie Haines will again host a potluck cocktail party at their lovely home on Thursday 10/07 at 6 p.m, followed by bowling at Valley Center Bowl. Ben Parcasio has put together a golf tournament for Friday ($60) - please call him at (831) 206-5536. p.s. we will be set up to accept walk-ins at the event, payment by check or cash only.
