$15,000 in Awards | LIVE Competition - October 14, 2021 Business Pitch Competition The Launch Place and the Angel Capital Association (ACA)’s Angel University are partnering to bring together angel investors and entrepreneurs to learn, share and network. This two-day event offers a unique experience for both angel investors and entrepreneurs that will be filled with immersive learning and networking. Attendees will begin the two-day event with ACA Angel University and conclude with a fast-paced pitch competition where winners will walk away with $15,000 to move their ventures forward. ACA Angel University at The Big Launch Challenge will offer two courses valuable to both angel investors and entrepreneurs—Angel Exit Strategy and Valuation. This is the first time these two courses are being taught with angels and entrepreneurs learning together. Angels learn how to value startup companies and how to harvest the value of their investments helping their companies generate successful exits. Entrepreneurs gain a better understanding of how angels think leading to stronger partnerships. The Launch Place (TLP) is closely monitoring COVID-19 developments on a daily basis and how it may impact the upcoming Big Launch Challenge event. As the situation progresses, TLP will post updates about the changes or contingency plans on our website, on our social channels (Twitter and Facebook) and in emails to registered attendees, speakers, presenting companies and members. At this time, the Big Launch Challenge will be an IN-PERSON live event. When checking in on-site, every attendee will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms. Attendees will need to verify during pre-registration or onsite at the event that they have received the COVID-19 vaccine. NO ONE WILL BE ADMITTED ON-SITE if they fail to be screened and registered. We are requiring MANDATORY masks indoors for all attending individuals unless eating or drinking.You must follow all current CDC guidelines for travel, whether you’re flying international or domestic. You are encouraged to get tested for COVID-19 24 - 48 hours but no more than 72 hours prior to entering the event. The Launch Place is an entrepreneurship development organization with the purpose to plan, fund, launch and grow companies in the IT, software, advanced manufacturing and medical device industries. We help companies to get started or to expand their operations by providing business consulting services, office space, residential and office rent subsidies, and by potentially investing in them through our two investment funds. We have two funds: pre-seed (early stage) funding up to $75k and seed funding up to $250k.
