Learn the principles of photography, basics of your camera, and how to find the best lighting to create powerful and memorable images. Join portrait, landscape, and commercial photographer Dave Herring for this introductory class to photography. Whether you have some experience or you're just starting out, we'll cover the priniples of photography and composition, educate on all of the settings on your camera, and explain the relationship between them. We'll also discuss the best times to shoot, and what to look for in a time and location. In addition, we'll cover information about gear, software, and strategy to begin defining yourself as a photographer. Whether you're interested in landscapes, portraits, or commercial photography, you'll leave equipped to begin discovering or pursuing your own adventure! Dave has worked for commercial clients such as Nomad, Bespoke Post, the National Park Trust, and many others. You can also find Dave's images at every Target across the country. This free workshop includes free parking, and is hosted at a beautiful and clean warehouse in San Jose. Local event COVID guidelines and restrictions will be observed to keep everyone as safe as possible. We love hosting events to meet other photoraphers, share experiences, and train others in the craft!
